Some of the aims SABDES were set in designing the B70 were to create a vessel that has capability and a smooth easy motion even in the roughest conditions, allows for easy navigation into shallow waters, has a highly efficient and easily driven hull form requiring only low power engines giving excellent fuel economy, is spacious and luxurious for extended cruising or living aboard, has large outdoor spaces, and embraces 'green technology' throughout in its design thinking. Three B70 boats have already been completed and are now cruising, and a fourth, but larger , B78 Shallow Draft Explorer is currently in build.
